Yiddish for Yankees - Martin Marcus

MARTIN MARCUS has written for radio and TV and is an author with two books of ethnic humor published by Lippincott and Doubleday and humorous essays, short stories and verse in national magazines. His poetry has appeared in literary journals and of his collection, File Under Melancholy (Troika V, Thorntree Press), Pulitzer Prize winning poet Maxine Kumin wrote, "Lucky for us that Martin Marcus has returned to his first love, poetry. There's not a false note in this bravura performance."

Born in Chicago, where he lives today with his wife, Sue, Mr. Marcus recently has been at work on a new poetry collection. His recent novel, Hollywood Park, is available from Barnes & Noble bookstores, Amazon.com, and Authorhouse.
